1. Scope & Data Controller
This Privacy Policy explains how BeBulbed handles information in connection with the corporate website at bebulbed.com (the "Site"). BeBulbed is the sole entity responsible for information collected through the Site.
This Policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to any BeBulbed venture's product or platform - including BeBulbed Spark, available at spark.bebulbed.com - which publishes its own, separate Privacy Policy governing its own user data. BeBulbed is not a co-controller or processor of any venture's product data, and no data collected through a venture's product is shared with BeBulbed for purposes of this Policy.
2. Pre-Incorporation & Beta Notice
This Beta service is operated by BeBulbed (ABN 79 434 618 910) pending formal ASIC company registration. Upon ASIC registration, all contracts, user terms, intellectual property licenses, and data controller obligations under this Policy will automatically assign to the newly registered proprietary limited company without requiring additional user notice or consent.
3. Information We Collect
The Site does not require an account and does not offer any transactional functionality. We currently collect only standard technical information generated automatically by your browser when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, for the limited purposes described in Section 5. If this changes - for example, if we add a contact form, newsletter signup, or careers application flow - this Policy will be updated before that feature goes live to describe exactly what is collected and why.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
This Site does not use cookies, third-party trackers, or advertising pixels of any kind. The only client-side storage the Site uses is a single, first-party preference - your Light / Dark / Auto display theme choice - which never leaves your device, is never shared with us or anyone else, and is never used to identify or track you across sites. Because we don't use any non-essential tracking technology, we don't show a cookie consent banner - there is nothing on this Site to consent to.
5. How We Use Information
Any information collected through the Site is used solely to operate, secure, and improve the Site - for example, to detect and prevent abuse, diagnose technical issues, and understand aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The Site is hosted using Firebase Hosting, a Google Cloud service, which may process technical information (such as request logs) on our behalf, under its own security and confidentiality commitments, solely to serve the Site to you. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BeBulbed, our users, or the public.
7. Australian Privacy Principles & Your Rights
BeBulbed's primary privacy framework is the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), which govern how we manage personal information regardless of where you access the Site from. Consistent with the APPs, you have the right to:
- Know how we collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information (APP 1);
- Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12); and
- Request correction of personal information you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading (APP 13).
If you believe our handling of your personal information does not meet these standards, contact us using the details in Section 11; if you remain unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). We also seek to align our practices with other major privacy frameworks, including the GDPR and CCPA, where relevant to visitors from those jurisdictions - but the APPs are this Site's primary, home-jurisdiction privacy standard.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is a corporate informational website and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details in Section 11 and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Our Family of Products
BeBulbed ventures, including BeBulbed Spark, operate independently and maintain their own Privacy Policies governing the data of their own users. If you use a BeBulbed venture's product, that venture's Privacy Policy - not this one - governs how your information is handled.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
